MLM prospecting defined is the tactic or strategies of finding people to talk to about the business opportunity that you have to offer. That’s as simple as it can get, and you don’t need some kind of mathematical equation to realize that. You need to aquire some prospecting skills because this is what you require if you desire to make a living in this industry. Without the people that you can share your story to, you won’t find any prospects. No prospects means, no chance of selling anything or recruiting anyone. This is one thing you must do everyday if you wish to build a successful business. Your business will die as soon as you stop prospecting.

There’s no such thing as “this business doesn’t” work. It does work. You just need to have sufficient people to continually share your business and products with. This must also be done effectively. The first step is to discover who your target market is. It’s a simple method of using different topics to find people that might be interested on looking at your product and business opportunity. There are quite a number of ways to do this. Everywhere you look, there will always be some person there that you can approach and talk to. Online, you have venues for communication and interactions. This is a strategy to find out whether they want to know more about what you’re talking about, or maybe they’d have an idea of where you can find people that would care about what you have to say. You can actually do this by giving out hand outs, free CDs or an audio that they could listen to, brochures, and many more. anything else that could get peoples attention.

Then what you’d have to do is separate the people you will talk to. There are only two kinds of individuals that you can expect from your exposure: the people who like and are open to new opportunities, and individuals who really don’t care what you have to offer. Through this step, you will be able to move your discussion forward with the people that will listen, and those who wouldn’t can still be asked about your products, or maybe referrals that they could suggest. By doing this, you won’t be chasing the wrong people anymore.

the final step is to sponsor everybody who is interested or get them into your recruiting system and follow up with them later. They will be the one to do the work from there on. Once you have them locked in for a presentation. If they are not available, or unwilling to listen, you can always put them on your follow up list. Keep these people posted with your successes, and eventually, they will join you in business. By following these tips you will dramatically increase your prospecting results, and will start to see an increase in the average amount of reps you sign up per week.
