Teenagers debate
The Central Seventh-day Adventist Church has joined forces with the Law Enforcement Planning Commission to intruduce an awareness program geared towards helping teens that are prone to the use of alcoholic beverages.
The church group will be hosting a debate between teenagers, ranging from ages 13 to 17, in an effort to educate and provide a keener insight into the effects of drinking and driving. The debate will be held at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 4 in the Central SDA Multipurpose Center in Estate Grove Place.
The theme is “Too Smart to Start.” The aim is to have teenagers debate the issues and facts surrounding the ill-effects of alcohol.
